All Alpha vehicles which are rented have comprehensive insurance with a standard liability that is applicable to renters that may be reduced with one of Alpha’s waiver options. For passenger vehicles (hatchbacks, sedans, family cars, SUVs, 8/9-seater vans) the standard liability is $4,400 for drivers over 21 years of age. If you opt into a listed liability waiver the figure above will be lower depending on the waiver selected.
Administration Charges
In the event of an accident, the renter will be liable for a $250 admin fee (incl. in the relevant liability waiver).
Exclusions to Standard Liability Protection
The following is at the hirer’s risk and is not covered by the relevant Standard Liability Protection above:
Unless otherwise specified no Alpha vehicle is covered by the standard liability protection for reversing damage, overhead damage, animal damage, undercarriage damage, water damage, hail damage or damage arising from abuse or negligence however caused. Please note that you will also not have the benefit of Alpha’s insurance if the rental vehicle is driven on unsealed roads.

| Cancellation policy |
Once your relocation request is accepted, a cancellation fee applies at all times and will be charged to your credit card when you cancel, or do not show up for your booking. For cancellations made more than 48hrs ahead of pickup, a cancellation fee of $25 will be applied. Late cancellations (within 48 hours of pick-up time) will be charged $50, and no-shows will be charged $100. Cancellations must be made by logging into "My Transfercar" and selecting "Cancel trip" under the booking. Please be aware that the rental operator might have a separate cancellation fee beyond Transfercar's policy.
