Transfercar helps students hit the road

Jaran, Burleigh Heads: ''I found out about Transfercar from a friend and I looked into it on the web.  I’d always wanted to do a camper van style holiday with my girlfriend.  It all fell into place easily - we checked out the dates the van was available and when we saw that the return flight from Sydney was only $59 we thought let’s go on a bit of an adventure. We had so much fun.

The trip took three days - we chose the 200km excess and we did a bit of sightseeing and we paid for fuel.  We dropped the campervan off at Apollo depot in Sydney and we stayed at Darling Harbour at a really nice hotel overnight and flew out the next morning. I have a GoPro camera and made a video of our little adventure, which was fun in itself. We stopped at Scotts Head and stayed at the caravan park and we because we arrived there at night we woke up in the morning to the most amazing view.  Then we walked round the headland and up the beach which was beautiful.

We also stopped at the Macadamia Castle - everything to do with nuts and it’s like an actual castle! Outside Newcastle - Nobby’s Head - there’s a big lighthouse and we walked around the lighthouse and parked up the caravan there.  And we also got to drive it across Sydney Harbour Bridge which was pretty amazing.  Ben Howard was on the music all the way down… we played music through the iPod and the aux and it really added to the experience.

It was the best experience and we spent quality time together we’d love to do it again sometime.''
