Cancellation policy |
Once your relocation request is accepted, a $50 cancellation fee applies at all times and
will be charged to your credit card when you cancel, or do not show up for your booking.
Cancellations must be made directly to the rental operator AND in your "My Transfercar" area.
Note that the rental operator may also have a separate cancellation fee independent of
Transfercar's cancellation policy, that you agreed to pay when you confirmed your booking with them.
Once the request is accepted, any cancellations must be made directly to Transfercar (in "Your Trips" area when you log in).
However, no refund will be provided for the $75 deposit if you cancel.
These special conditions apply to this listing and replace clause 5 and 6 in Transfercar's usual terms and conditions for relocation drivers.

Additional comments from the rental operator |
VEHICLE SECURITY DEPOSIT: $1000 payable by CREDIT CARD ONLY (No Cash or EFTPOS bond permitted). The $1000 vehicle security deposit will be processed, (this does not include the $75 deposit payable at time of booking and refunded on drop off unless the booking is cancelled) and credited back at the end of the rental providing the vehicle is returned on time, undamaged and with the fuel tank and gas bottle full. A $250 cleaning fee will be charged if the vehicle is returned in a dirty condition (this includes smoking related cleaning as smoking is not permitted in the vehicle). A fee of $125 will also be charged if the toilet and wastewater tank have not been emptied. Liability reduction option of $12 per day available to reduce liability to $500 or $20 to reduce liability to $250 per claim.
Kilometres travelled in excess of the allowance will be charged at 55 cents per kilometre. $75.00 cancellation fee applies at anytime after booking has been confirmed. All hirers must have a credit card and valid driver licence. A 2% credit card surcharge applies to all Visa and MasterCard transactions (Amex cards not accepted). Relocations are subject to availability and business needs.
If the Ferry is included:
1. The customer can either have a free Ferry spot and one passenger spot (recliner only) OR they can arrange their own ferry and have a $350 refund when they return the vehicle (receipts for flight, ferry and/or fuel are accepted for this reloc route).
In peak season:
2. We pre-book relocations in our system with fixed dates and a fixed ferry crossing date. No fuel option available. In this case we advise the booking number and our reservations crew adjust the name accordingly.

Debit card policy |
